Academic Supports for Students With Asperger's & LD

Academic Goals

College Internship Program (CIP) reviews and considers each student’s goals prior to the establishment of his/her academic program. It is the aim of the academic team to provide a support system which will enable each student to achieve the greatest academic success possible.

Bookends Executive Functioning SKills Groups

In order to be successful our students need to learn to be organized in the many facets of their life. In this class, we start with school / business organization skills and then work in the ways that these skills merge into all other areas of a successful life. Thinking about organization can be an important key to unlocking the doors for students on the spectrum. This group meets on Mondays and Fridays as an important beginning and ending to each week.

Individual Tutorials

Students typically attend individual tutoring sessions throughout the week designed to improve basic academic skill levels. They receive assistance with time management, organizational skills and study skills. Students taking college courses receive specific tutoring in those subject areas as well, and might attend supervised study halls or study groups each week. In addition, our team will recommend college classes and professors which will best meet student needs and provide ideal support.
