CIP National Student Art Contest: 2009

The College Internship Program is holding it's Second Annual National Student Art Contest. This contest is open to currently enrolled AND alumni CIP students. Students can submit any type of art including paintings, drawings, photographs, 3D animations, illustrations, vector artwork, sound recordings and/or videos. This year the voting will be done online. All Art Submissions are Due by April 1st, 2009

The voting polls will be open on April 15th. All submitting and voting will be done on the blog (http://blog.collegeinternshipprogram.com). Winners will be announced during Convocation (and online on the blog) and the voting polls will close May 1st, 2009.

Submissions are limited to one work per student. Please pick a single, favorite piece for entry. Also, include your name, a full description and title for your work. Submissions will be completed online on the blog by the student.

Prizes will be awarded to a first place winner and one runner-up from each center, plus an overall national winner and runner-up. One alumni student winner prize will be awarded. Submissions used in last years contest will not be accepted. By submitting your work you retain your ownership, but give permission to CIP to show your work on our websites and newsletter. Video submissions may be uploaded by CIP to YouTube for display purposes. Full credit will be given to the artist.

Prizes will FIRST be announced on the CIP Facebook Pages and the Facebook College Internship Program group page. Join the group if you have not already to be notified.

Eligible Media

Animation
Submissions should be in digital video format or on a DVD. Also allowed is an animated .GIF or a Flash .SWF file. Please limit the length to 5 minutes.

Computer Art
Please make sure to submit a high quality image file.

Design
Submissions include Apparel, jewelry and other crafts (submit a photo). Graphic design works such as logos, brochures, ads, icons, characters and other computer generated works will be accepted.

Drawing
Pencil, ink, charcoal, pastel, crayon or scratchboard. Please submit a digital photo or file.

Mixed Media
Artwork that combines materials on a 2-D surface, i.e. collage or assemblage. Please submit a photo or video.

Painting
Photos will be accepted in digital format only. Non-digital photos should be scanned.

Photography
Please provide a digital photo for all entries. Please make sure the quality of your photo is high enough to be printed or viewed correctly.

Sculpture
Photos or videos will be accepted only.

Video & Film
Submissions should be less than 5 minutes long.

Audio
Original music, songs, comedy routines or soundscapes can be submitted. Submissions should be less than 5 minutes long.

Acceptable Submission File Types

Photo or File
.JPG, .JPEG, .GIF, .PNG or .PDF

Video
DVD video, Flash .SWF format, .MPG, .AVI, or a link to your video post on a sharing site such as YouTube.

Audio
.mp3, .wav, .aiff

Writings
.doc
